NHBC guarantee
NHBC: New properties have guarantees on their build quality. Build quality is a vague term that can refer to the foundations of the property, the roof or even the finish of the paint on the walls. The most common guarantee is the National House Building Council (NHBC) standard. An NHBC guarantee lasts 10 years. That is, within that 10 year period the quality of workmanship is to be guaranteed or it will be rectified by approved builders of the NHBC at no cost to the owner. A certificate or equivalent document is given once the house is built and has reached the required standard.

Christian Mystics Series
This series is offered by the Benedictine Spirituality Center located at 2044 Bissonnet. The series offers spiritual formation through spending sacred time in a contemplative space with the spiritual masters of the Christian tradition. Each small group, limited to seven participants,includes prayer, lectio divina, the Divine Office, readings from a Praying With text, commentary, and activities relating to our own spiritual journeys. There is ample time for guided journaling and group sharing, which creates a caring spiritual community. Included is a short taped talk by Fr. Laurence Freeman, OSB, or Fr. John Main, OSB, followed by a time of silent meditation. The room is peaceful with candles and contemplative music such as Hildegard of Bingen, Taizé, and Gregorian chant.
